Synchronous Fireflies in the National Park

Synchronous Fireflies are one of many types of fireflies in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  BUT the park is one of only two places in the world where this phenomenon occurs (Asia being the other).  Since 1993 the peak time has varied from the last week of May to the third week of June.
